We are working with a wide range of groups to teach them how to plan, record, produce and share digital stories that help them connect with the people who matter to them; from Mitwatj Employment and Participation in north-east Arnhem Land, to a project with leading sports organisations in NSW, as well as supporting human rights defenders in the Asia Pacific.
We have also run a pro bono digital storytelling program – Cooks River Stories – that links older residents in Canterbury (Sydney, NSW) with local primary and secondary students.
Our goal is give people the skills and confidence they need to tell their own stories. We provide people with hands on training in relation to interviewing and collecting images, we introduce them to an easy-to-use video editing program and we highlight important ethical and privacy issues. Our approach is set out in our new publication, Telling Stories that Matter.
